TerraSpectrum is derived from the combination of the word 'Terra' (meaning Earth) and 'Spectrum' (representing a continuous sequence of colors, or possibilities). Therefore, TerraSpectrum not only refers to the symbolic representation of the colors of light reflected by Earth, but it also encompasses the variety of conditions and factors that contribute to the conservation, restoration and sustainable management of our environment.

 

At TerraSpectrum, we integrate advanced technologies—such as hyperspectral imaging, bioacoustic monitoring, and environmental DNA (eDNA)—with AI analytics to accurately measure the properties of ecosystems, including carbon and biodiversity.

 

We are a multidisciplinary team with decades of experience in science-based monitoring of ecosystems, urban sustainable planing, mathematics and business development.  

 

Terraspectrum AG was founded in 2023 and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. Sustainability has been an intrinsic part of Switzerland for decades. The 5Ps of the Sustainable Development Goals—People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnership—are ingrained in the Swiss lifestyle and constitution. Geneva is already recognized as a global hub for environmental and sustainable governance, hosting more than 40 international organizations and 400 NGOs.
